I’m pleased to announce that some of my songs from Those Who Forgive have been used in a great new documentary about sustainable local food systems. It will be premiering at the Cleveland Film Festival on March 25th and 26th. Check it out if you happen to be in Ohio or look for it on DVD this summer. Here’s some more information from the director below:

Polycultures: Food Where We Live shows renowned experts and the diverse communities around Northeast Ohio working together to grow a more sustainable and local food system. The movie is an intersection of journalism, marketing, and multimedia art. It’s very Cleveland-centric in terms of the specific people and places, but I think the themes expressed are more universal in nature and are particularly relevant at this time of national economic uncertainty. Here’s the CIFF page for it and the NAC’s page as well.

If you’re interested you can get tickets to the March 25th or March 26th showings. On Wednesday the 25th it will screen at Tower City at 6:45p and will be followed by a food-related Film Forum discussion… and possibly an after-party. On Thursday the showing will be at 11:30a. Tickets go on sale this Friday the 6th at 11a. With the interest expressed so far, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Wednesday night showing sells out, though I would be surprised if the Thursday showing sells out. And if neither works out for you, I expect there to be many showings around Cleveland and hopefully beyond over the course of the summer - I just wanted to let you know you’re invited to join us for the premiere at a swanky theater. Feel free to forward this to potentially interested parties…
